Can you tell me if my grandfather is interred at New Southgate or Great Northern at Brunswich Park Road ? Name: John Clifford, Born Feb. 12, 1892 and died April 25, 1977. Lived at 7 Friern Barnet Road, London.
Died at Friern Hospital. I am planning a visit to England and would like to visit the burial site.
I'm looking for the grave stone of Geoffrey RUSH - 1928, section AM(?), plot #927.
I live in NZ, and would appreciate any pictures of this young boy's grave/plot.
I went to New Southgate on a similar mission earlier in the week and the site you were looking for information about was quite close to my own.
I'm assuming you are clear that plot 927 is correct but that it could be in section A or M? (as there isn't an 'AM' section).
I looked in both areas for you and can advise as follows;
M927 is just bare ground.
A927 has a yew tree growing in it but I couldn't find any sign of a headstone. Although I got a print of the layout in this area from the Office, 927 has no name on it (this seems quite common).
Sorry not to be able to give you anything more positive, but the folks in the Office there are very helpful and may have more information if you contact them direct.
I do have a photo of the yew tree if that is of any interest.
Best wishes for your on - going search and hope this goes some way to assisting you.
Regards Andrew Tucker
Thanks Andrew, that's most helpful, and appreciate you looking for me.
I have a document which I might email through to the office, to see if they can decipher it. If I could please get a copy of the picture of the Yew tree, just incase, that'd be wonderful My email is: Leela 03 @ hotmail .com (obviously without the spaces - but to stop my address being found by the auto-senders!)
I understand my Gt grandfather Hazard (? christian name) who died Aug 12th 1910 was buried in the Gt Northern Cemetery. His son My Gt uncle James Hazard may also be here as they lived nearby. He died about 2 years after the 1st WW of injuries sustained in Northern France. Is it possible that someone may be able to confirm this and any other "Hazards" that may be buried here. I live in New Zealand and would love to visit these graves one day if they can be located.
Apologies, I forgot to tick the box requesting follow-up comments and/or posts by email please. Thank you and I will be so grateful if I can get the requested information.
My maternal grandmother, Freda Edwards, is buried at Great Northern London Cemetery
Section: AJ Number: 2559. She died July, Aug or Sept of 1934.I got this information from the receipt of her burial marker purchase. I plan to visit London in June this year and would like to know if the stone is still there and how can I get a map of the cemetery to help me find it? Thanking you in advance for any assistance you can provide.
Hello, I am searching for 3 graves which are located within Great Northern New Southgate Cemetary. I have the original prayer cards for each member of my mother's side of the family. I wonder if someone is able to locate.
