Cemetery Archives: St. Andrew’s Old Church
St. Andrew’s Old Church
St. Andrew's Old Church is rather a mess. When we first visited in 2003, almost the entire site was overgrown. Paths were impenetrable, graves were covered over with a thick layer of ivy and brambles, and the few accessible parts of the site were daubed with spray paint graffiti.
I'm happy to say that recently, things have begun to improve. With funding from a trust established by the son of a woman buried here, clearance work has begun, and the cemetery is slowly being reclaimed from the undergrowth.
